Accounts payable online
Invoices and credit notes your customers can settle online
Your customers’ accounts teams see every invoice, credit note and statement in one place. They apply credit notes to the invoices they choose and pay the balance online, and it all syncs back to your ERP.
Fewer “can you resend that invoice?” emails
-
Invoices, credit notes and statements
Every open invoice and credit note from your ERP, plus monthly statements, in the customer’s account whenever they need them.
-
Credit notes used, not forgotten
Open credit notes sit beside the invoices, so customers use them when they pay instead of asking for a refund.
-
Synced back to your ERP
Payments and the credit notes applied with them flow back to your ERP, so your finance team isn’t matching them by hand.
How it fits together
Your ERP raises the invoices and credit notes. TierCommerce puts them in front of the customer’s accounts team, takes the payment, and sends the allocations back.

How a customer pays
What the accounts team at Coastline Office Group does to clear two invoices with a credit note.
-
1
Pick the invoices
The customer ticks the invoices they want to pay, from one to everything that’s due. Overdue invoices are flagged, and each one opens as a PDF.
- Every open invoice from your ERP
- Sorted by due date, overdue first
- An accounts-payable role with no access to ordering
-
2
Apply credit notes
They apply any open credit notes against those invoices, and the amount to pay drops straight away. Credits get used instead of sitting on the account or turning into refund requests.
- Open credit notes listed beside the invoices
- Applied in full or in part
- The customer chooses which invoice each credit goes against
-
3
Pay the balance
They pay what’s left online, and the payment and credit allocations go back to your ERP. Your finance team sees the invoices closed, with nothing to match by hand.
- Card details tokenised by the payment provider
- A receipt emailed to the person who paid
- Paid invoices move to the account’s history
Built for accounts teams on both sides
- An accounts-payable role for your customers’ finance staff
- Payment access without ordering access
- Overdue invoices flagged in the customer’s account
- Set up differently for each customer if you need to
- Card payments tokenised by a PCI-compliant provider

Do payments and credit notes go back into our ERP?
Yes. Payments made online, and the credit notes applied with them, sync back to your ERP.
Can a customer’s accounts team pay without ordering access?
Yes. Accounts-payable users can see and pay invoices without being able to order.
Can we set it up differently for some customers?
Yes. Accounts payable online can be customised per customer.
