Business Central B2B ecommerce integration

Give your trade customers a B2B storefront that runs on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Items, inventory, customer prices and customers come from Business Central, and sales orders and payments go straight back. No middleware, no nightly CSV.

What syncs between Business Central and TierCommerce

Business Central stays your source of truth. These are the records the integration reads and writes.

A native Business Central integration, built on Microsoft’s APIs

We build and maintain the Business Central connection ourselves. It uses the right Business Central API for each job, so it stays fast as your order volume grows.

  • Business Central API v2.0

Standard endpoints for items, customers, sales orders, quotes, invoices and customer payments.

  • Custom API pages and OData

For price lists, and for custom fields your partner has added through extensions.

  • Webhooks

Business Central webhook subscriptions tell TierCommerce when items and customers change.

  • Microsoft Entra ID

Service-to-service OAuth with a dedicated app registration and only the permission sets it needs.

What it supports in Business Central

  • Multiple companies, including separate AU and NZ companies
  • AUD and NZD, with GST posting groups per customer
  • Multiple locations and warehouses
  • Item variants and units of measure
  • Price lists, customer price groups and line discounts
  • Custom fields from your extensions

Business Central B2B ecommerce that holds up on your busiest day

  • Configuration, not custom code

Field mappings, price rules and order routing are settings you can see and change, not a bespoke script.

  • Business Central stays the source of truth

Items, prices and customers are owned by Business Central. TierCommerce never overwrites what it shouldn’t.

  • Built around API limits

Batched, queued and rate-aware, so Business Central’s service protection limits never slow down your busiest day.

  • Safe to retry

Every write is idempotent, so a retried order can never create a duplicate sales order.

  • Logged and replayable

Every sync is logged with the record it touched. Failures alert your team and can be replayed in one click.

  • Microsoft Entra ID authentication with least-privilege permission sets
  • Customer data hosted in Sydney
  • Role-based access for your staff and your customers
  • An audit log of every change and sync
  • Card payments tokenised by a PCI-compliant provider

Business Central integration questions

Can TierCommerce integrate with Business Central for B2B ecommerce?

Yes. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is one of our native integrations. Items, inventory, customer prices and customers sync from Business Central, and sales orders, sales quotes, customer payments and new customers sync back.

Can trade customers see their Business Central prices?

Yes. Price lists, customer price groups and line discounts set up in Business Central are applied to each customer. Their price shows in search, on product pages, in the cart and on quotes.

How do orders land in Business Central?

As sales orders, with the customer’s PO number in the external document number, their ship-to address and the location to ship from. Quotes come across as sales quotes.

Does it work with multiple companies and separate AU and NZ entities?

Yes. Each company in your Business Central environment can run its own storefront, currency, GST setup and price lists.

Does it work with Business Central on-premises?

TierCommerce connects to Business Central online. If you run Business Central on-premises, we check your version and how its APIs can be reached securely during scoping.

Can we test it before going live?

Yes. We connect to a Business Central sandbox environment first and run real orders end to end before anything touches production.

How long does it take to go live on Business Central?

Most businesses can be taking orders in about 30 days. Environments with several companies or heavy customisation can take longer, and we’ll tell you up front.

We’re moving to Business Central from MYOB or Xero. Does our store move too?

Your storefront, customers and pricing stay in TierCommerce. Moving to Business Central means switching the integration, not rebuilding your store.
