Katana MRP B2B ecommerce integration
Give your trade customers a modern B2B storefront that runs on Katana. Products, variants, stock by location and price lists come from Katana, and orders go back as sales orders. Production planning starts the moment a trade customer orders.

A native Katana integration, built for manufacturers who sell to the trade
We build and maintain the Katana MRP connection ourselves. It uses the right Katana MRP API for each job, so it stays fast as your order volume grows.
-
Katana API
Products, variants, inventory, price lists, customers and sales orders, read and written directly.
-
API key authentication
A bearer API key created in Katana under Settings, then API. Delete the key and the connection stops.
-
Webhooks
Katana tells TierCommerce when records such as sales orders change, so updates arrive without constant polling.
-
Rate-limit aware
Requests are queued and batched to stay inside Katana’s API rate limits, even on a busy order day.
What it supports in Katana MRP
- Katana price lists, assigned per customer
- Multiple locations
- Product variants and units of measure
- AUD and NZD, with GST from your Katana tax rates
- Make-to-order and in-stock products
- Katana connected to Xero or QuickBooks Online
Katana runs the factory floor. TierCommerce runs the trade storefront.
-
Katana stays the source of truth
Products, inventory, price lists and customers are owned by Katana. TierCommerce never overwrites what it shouldn’t.
-
Built for makers
Orders land as Katana sales orders, so material availability and production planning update as soon as a customer orders.
-
Price lists, then more
Katana price lists carry over per customer. TierCommerce adds quantity breaks, contract prices and customer-specific catalogues where you need them.
-
No duplicate sales orders
Every write is idempotent, so a retried order can never create a second sales order in Katana.
-
Logged and replayable
Every sync is logged against the Katana record it touched. Failures alert your team and can be replayed in one click.

Katana MRP integration questions
Can TierCommerce integrate with Katana MRP for B2B ecommerce?
Yes. Katana is one of our native integrations. Products, variants, inventory, price lists and customers sync from Katana, and sales orders and new customers sync back.
Does Katana have its own B2B portal?
Katana focuses on manufacturing and inventory, and connects to sales channels such as Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce rather than running its own trade ordering portal. TierCommerce gives your trade customers a dedicated B2B storefront on top of Katana, with price lists, buyer roles and approvals, AI entry of emailed purchase orders, PunchOut and full control over design.
Will customers see their Katana price list?
Yes. Each customer sees the prices from the Katana price list linked to them, everywhere they shop. Orders go back with those same prices, so the sales order matches what the customer saw.
Which Katana plan do we need?
Katana’s API and price lists are part of its Professional plan and above. We check your plan in week 1, before anything else.
Does it handle multiple locations?
Yes. Inventory syncs per Katana location. Each sales order is sent with the location it should ship from.
Does it work for products we make to order?
Yes. Orders land in Katana as sales orders, so Katana shows material and production availability against them straight away. Your team plans the build in Katana exactly as it does today.
Does it handle GST, AUD and NZD?
Yes. GST comes from your Katana tax rates, and AU and NZ storefronts can each run in their own currency. Customer data is hosted in Sydney.
How long does it take to go live?
Most businesses can be taking orders in about 30 days. Large catalogues or complex price lists can take longer, and we’ll tell you up front.
