For Australian and New Zealand wholesalers who’ve outgrown B2B on Shopify
Shopify B2B alternatives
Shopify now offers core B2B features on every plan, and it’s a strong choice for retailers adding trade customers. Wholesalers usually look elsewhere when they need a catalogue for each customer, live prices from MYOB or Pronto Xi, or PunchOut and credit terms without a stack of apps. Here are seven alternatives, and what each one is best for.
We make TierCommerce, and we’ve listed it first. Every other platform’s facts come from its own website, app listings or published price lists, checked October 2026, and each one says what it’s best for.
Why wholesalers look beyond Shopify B2B
-
Customer catalogues need Plus
Basic, Grow and Advanced allow up to three B2B catalogues. Catalogues assigned to individual companies, deposits and partial payments need Shopify Plus, from A$3,700 a month.
-
Australian ERPs connect through apps
MYOB and Pronto Xi connect through third-party apps billed in US dollars. Pronto Xi Sync costs US$399 to US$1,999 a month plus US$999 installation, and Options ERP isn’t listed.
-
Wholesale features are add-ons
PunchOut, credit limits and some buyer roles come from apps. Punchout Cloud, for example, costs US$399 a month for one connection.
How each one connects to your ERP
Where your prices and stock live decides most of the cost and effort. Native means the platform’s own team builds the integration; an app or connector usually comes from a third party and is billed separately.

From each vendor’s public integration pages and app marketplaces in October 2026. “Native” is built by the platform vendor, “Built in” means the store is part of that system, “Listed” means the vendor lists the integration without saying how it works, and “App or connector” is usually from a third party. “Not listed” means it’s missing from the vendor’s integrations page or app store, though custom work may be possible. We make TierCommerce. Check with each vendor before you decide.

When to stay with Shopify
Shopify is a good product. It may still be the right choice if:
- You mainly sell direct to consumers and want wholesale in the same store.
- Three B2B catalogues are enough for your price lists, so you don’t need Plus.
- You want Shopify’s themes, apps and Shopify Flow more than live ERP pricing.
Questions to ask every vendor
- 1Which ERP or accounting system holds your prices and stock, and does the platform connect to it natively, through an app, or through a partner?
- 2How many customer price lists or contract prices do you have?
- 3Do any customers order through procurement systems that need PunchOut?
- 4Do trade customers need credit limits, payment terms and invoices they can pay online?
- 5What will you pay each month once apps and connectors are added, and in which currency?
Shopify B2B alternatives questions
What is the best Shopify B2B alternative in Australia?
It depends on your ERP. If your prices and stock live in MYOB, Pronto Xi, Options, Xero or NetSuite, a platform that integrates natively with it, such as TierCommerce or Commerce Vision, avoids paying for a connector app. If you want retail and B2B on one platform, BigCommerce B2B Edition is the closest alternative. We make TierCommerce, so weigh our view accordingly.
Does Shopify B2B work with MYOB?
Through third-party apps. The AccountRight connectors we found list stock, orders and retail prices, and the listings that sync customer pricing from MYOB are InSyncer’s US$345-a-month B2B tiers for MYOB Exo and Acumatica.
Do I need Shopify Plus for B2B?
Not for the basics. Since April 2026, Basic, Grow and Advanced include up to three B2B catalogues, net payment terms, quantity price breaks and quick order lists. Catalogues for individual companies, deposits and partial payments still need Plus.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Shopify Plus for B2B?
Yes. TierCommerce’s Essentials plan starts from A$500 a month and Professional from A$1,500, excluding GST, with customer pricing on every plan. B2B Wave publishes lower prices for small wholesalers on Xero.
Can I keep Shopify for retail and use another platform for trade?
Yes. Some wholesalers keep Shopify for consumers and run trade ordering on a B2B platform connected to the same ERP, so stock and orders stay in one place.
