TierCommerce vs Fieldfolio

The Fieldfolio alternative for wholesalers that sell to their own trade accounts

Fieldfolio is an Australian wholesale marketplace and ordering platform. Wholesalers list catalogues to more than 40,000 registered retail buyers, take orders from reps on a free iPad app, and sync orders to MYOB AccountRight, Xero or QuickBooks Online, on plans from A$199 a month with no commission. TierCommerce is built for Australian and New Zealand wholesalers that want their own B2B portal on their ERP, with native two-way integrations for MYOB, Pronto Xi, Options ERP and Xero, pricing set per customer, GST shown the way each customer needs it, and customer data hosted in Sydney.

The short answer

Choose TierCommerce if you sell mostly to trade accounts you already have, run MYOB, Pronto Xi, Options ERP, Xero or another ERP, and need customer-specific pricing, quotes, buyer approvals and online invoice payments. Choose Fieldfolio if you want new retail customers from its marketplace, your reps sell from an iPad at trade fairs and on the road, and a published price from A$199 a month matters more than ERP depth.

Why wholesalers choose TierCommerce over Fieldfolio

  • Native to the ERP you run, not only accounting apps

Fieldfolio sends posted orders to MYOB AccountRight, Xero or QuickBooks Online and pulls stock back. TierCommerce connects natively to MYOB, Pronto Xi, Options ERP, Xero, NetSuite, Business Central, Cin7, Unleashed and Katana MRP. Each integration is two-way and live, built and maintained by our own team, and every sync is logged so you can see what moved and replay it.

  • Pricing set per customer, not per catalogue

Give each trade account its own customer-specific, contract, group and quantity pricing, straight from your ERP, instead of building a separate catalogue for each price list. Show prices inclusive or exclusive of GST for each customer, too.

  • Built for how trade accounts buy

Head users manage their own sub-users and accounts-payable users, with multi-level approvals on the buyer’s side. Quotes convert to orders, invoices and statements are paid online and synced to your ERP, and procurement teams can order through round-trip PunchOut with cXML and OCI.

  • AI co-workers with an exception queue

The Order Entry co-worker turns emailed and PDF POs into ERP sales orders and shows a confidence level for each one, so anything unclear lands in an exception queue for your team. Quoting, Buyer Assistant, Sales Copilot, Accounts and Catalogue co-workers cover the rest, and buyers’ AI agents can order through our MCP server.

When Fieldfolio might suit you better

Fieldfolio is a good product. It can be the better choice if:

  • Your reps and agents take most orders on an iPad at trade fairs and on the road, with offline ordering and barcode scanning, or you want independent reps to find you through Fieldfolio’s rep network.
  • You’re a smaller wholesaler on MYOB AccountRight, Xero or QuickBooks Online and want a self-serve platform with published pricing from A$199 a month ex GST, no commission and a 14-day free trial.

TierCommerce vs Fieldfolio questions

Is TierCommerce a good Fieldfolio alternative?

Yes, if you sell mostly to trade accounts you already have and need your portal to run on your ERP. TierCommerce covers customer-specific pricing, quotes, buyer approvals, online invoice payments, PunchOut and AI order entry, with GST per customer and Sydney hosting. If you want marketplace exposure to new retailers, or your reps sell mainly from an iPad at trade fairs, Fieldfolio may suit you better.

Can I move from Fieldfolio to TierCommerce?

Yes. Your ERP or accounting system stays your source of truth, so we connect TierCommerce to it and bring your products, customer pricing, stock and customers across from there. We then set up your buyers, users, approvals and payment terms, and our onboarding programme is built to get you live in about 30 days.

How does TierCommerce pricing compare with Fieldfolio?

Fieldfolio costs less. Its Startup plan is A$199 a month, Business A$299 and Enterprise A$499, excluding GST, with 3, 9 or 18 catalogues and 4, 20 or 40 users, and extra catalogues at A$59 and extra users at A$29 a month. It takes no commission, but charges 0.25% on orders paid through its Stripe payments, on top of Stripe’s fees, and marketplace promotions are paid extras. TierCommerce’s Essentials plan starts from A$500 a month and Professional from A$1,500, excluding GST, priced on the trade accounts that actually order online. We’ll quote Enterprise for your setup after a demo.

Does Fieldfolio integrate with MYOB, Pronto or Xero?

Fieldfolio integrates with MYOB AccountRight Standard, Plus and Premier using an online company file, Xero and QuickBooks Online, and its help centre says these need the Business or Enterprise plan. It doesn’t support MYOB Essentials or desktop-only AccountRight v19. Posted orders sync to your accounting system and stock on hand is pulled back. Pronto Xi, Options ERP and NetSuite aren’t listed, though Fieldfolio offers Zapier, Make and a seller API. TierCommerce integrates natively and two-way with MYOB, Pronto Xi, Options ERP and Xero.

Does Fieldfolio have a sales rep app?

Yes. Fieldfolio for iPad is a free app for reps and agents, with offline ordering, barcode and QR code scanning, and sales territories and teams to control which customers and catalogues each rep sees. Fieldfolio also runs a network where independent reps can ask to sell for you. TierCommerce’s Sales Copilot gives reps a customer’s orders, prices, stock, quotes and invoices from your ERP, and builds orders and quotes from a conversation.

Can both platforms turn emailed POs into orders?

Fieldfolio doesn’t publish an AI or emailed-PO feature. TierCommerce’s Order Entry co-worker turns emailed and PDF POs into ERP sales orders, shows a confidence level for each one and sends anything unclear to an exception queue.
