Stripe B2B ecommerce integration
Let trade buyers pay by card through your own Stripe account. The card is held when they order and charged only when the order goes to your ERP. Buyers can pay open invoices online too, and each payment lands in your ERP against the right invoices.
What syncs between Stripe and TierCommerce
Card payments go straight to your Stripe account, so you are the merchant of record. TierCommerce never sees a card number and takes no fee on payments.

From TierCommerce to Stripe
Card holds
The order total held on the buyer’s card when they place the order

Payment references

A native Stripe integration, connected through Stripe
You connect your own Stripe account through Stripe’s sign-up. Payments are made on your account, so the money, the fees, refunds and disputes are all yours.
-
Connect Stripe
Select Connect Stripe and finish Stripe’s sign-up. No API keys to copy or rotate.
-
Stripe’s card form
Buyers enter their card in Stripe’s secure form. The card number goes to Stripe and never reaches TierCommerce.
-
Hold, then charge
Order payments are held at checkout and charged when the order is released. Invoice payments are taken at once.
-
Payment updates from Stripe
Stripe tells TierCommerce how each payment went, so results and refunds show up straight away.
What it supports in Stripe
- Card at checkout, on account and bank transfer, set per storefront and per customer
- Holds charged only when the order is released to your ERP
- Approval rules, with the card charged after the last approval
- Online invoice payments, each invoice paid in full
- Payments in your store’s currency, AUD or NZD
- Retail (B2C) customers paying by card alongside trade buyers
Stripe payments that fit how trade buyers order
-
Your money, your Stripe account
Payments go straight to you as the merchant of record. TierCommerce takes no fee, and Stripe’s fees are the ones you already pay.
-
Charged only when the order goes through
The card is held at order and charged on release to your ERP. A rejected or cancelled order releases the hold.
-
Invoices paid online, recorded in your ERP
Buyers pay open invoices by card. Each payment goes to your ERP applied to the invoices it paid, so nobody re-keys it.
-
Card only where you want it
Offer card to every customer, or only to some. Others can stay on account or pay by bank transfer.
-
Every payment on the order
Holds, charges, declines and refunds show on the order or invoice payment, so your team can answer a buyer without opening Stripe.
Taking card payments through Stripe in a day
If you already have a Stripe account, connecting it takes minutes. Most of the day is a test order and choosing who can pay by card.
-
1 Step 1
Connect Stripe
Open Settings, then Payments, then Card payments. Select Connect Stripe and finish Stripe’s sign-up.
-
2 Step 2
Wait for Stripe
Card is offered at checkout once Stripe says your account can take charges. TierCommerce checks this for you.
-
3 Step 3
Choose who pays by card
Turn card on for your storefront, then set each customer’s ways to pay: on account, card, bank transfer or a mix.
-
4 Step 4
Place a test order
Place an order by card, release it to your ERP and check the charge in Stripe before your buyers use it.
Secure and reliable by design
Your Stripe data is your business. The integration only touches what it needs, and every action is recorded.
- Card numbers go to Stripe, never to TierCommerce
- Payments made on your own Stripe account
- Bank checks such as 3-D Secure at checkout
- Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest
- TierCommerce data hosted in Sydney
- Each payment sent to your ERP once, by its reference
Stripe integration questions
Does TierCommerce take a fee on card payments?
No. Card payments go straight to your Stripe account and you pay Stripe’s fees only. TierCommerce never sees card numbers and takes nothing from the payment.
When is the buyer’s card charged?
The order total is held on the card when the buyer orders. It’s charged when the order is released to your ERP: straight away, or after the last approval if the customer has approval rules. Banks keep a hold for about a week, so an order waiting longer than that has to be placed again.
What happens if an order is rejected or cancelled?
The hold is released and the buyer is never charged. Nothing goes to your ERP for that order.
Can buyers pay their invoices online with Stripe?
Yes. Buyers pick open invoices, or all of them, and pay by card through the same Stripe account. Online invoice payments come with the Professional and Enterprise plans.
How do invoice payments get into our ERP?
Each payment goes to Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, MYOB Acumatica or Options, applied to the invoices it paid, with its TierCommerce payment number as the reference, so it’s never recorded twice.
How do refunds work?
Make the refund in your Stripe dashboard. It shows on the payment in TierCommerce straight away.
Can some customers pay on account and others by card?
Yes. You set the ways to pay for your storefront and for each customer: on account, card and bank transfer, in any combination. Retail (B2C) customers always pay by card.
Does Stripe work for New Zealand storefronts?
Yes. Stripe charges in your storefront’s currency, so an Australian storefront takes Australian dollars and a New Zealand storefront takes New Zealand dollars.
